Make Art = Be Happy
It is a simple philosophy.
I make art because it is who and what I am.
My studio is my home, my playground and my sanctuary.
I believe there is an artist in each and everyone of us.
I grew up in California but spent four years in the Pacific Northwest with my daughters. It was there that I gave myself permission to be an artist.
Surrounded by nature and the sweetness of my girls just opened me up.
When we came back to California I took a leap and attended The California College Of Art. It was at this wonderful school of art were I learned that I was born an artist, I felt like I had come home.
I studied sculpture and ceramics. I love clay and I love three dimensional art. As with most artists I can not sit still very long just working in one medium, and I am not sure there is one I have not tried and fallen in love with.
The art changes over the years as my life changes but the colors stay vibrant, the images stay fun and playful.
Making art has been a constant for me, it is the thread of my life.
